I was lucky enough to be given this watch for my 18th Birthday and I have treasured it ever since. It is the only quartz watch I own. The quartz model is the "original" James Bond model as used in Goldeneye. The Automatic model was only added for the second film. A fact not many people know. This watch is rugged and durable. I wear it everyday despite the fact I have a fair few other watches to choose from. It keeps excellent time and has never let me down. This model is being discontinued very shortly. Dealer will probably never have another one of these brand new from the factory after December 2006. Go and buy one of these watches. They are not uncommon and other people own them. But they are a piece of watchmaking and film making history. The value of this watch in 15 years time may well surprise you.This watch as you can see from the lens is my favourite OMEGA watch of all time. It may not be the best made, it may not be a design classic or break new horological ground. It is however a icon of the watch making and retailing world and the silver screen. It was also my 18th birthday gift from my parents which makes it very special to me.
